This highly attended event Black education symposium sought to discuss historical truths surrounding Black education in »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿ – past, present and future.

In Zambia’s Copperbelt province, 120 high school girls gathered to showcase their innovative STEM solutions for tackling some of their communities’ most pressing environmental challenges. The hackathon was the brainchild of OISE doctoral student Racheal Kalaba.

As the Centre for Black Studies in Education embarks on its second year, it seeks to deepen its impact across U of T and within the broader Black education community under the leadership of new director Dr. Andrew Campbell.

In this role, Professor Walker will guide the further development of the University’s strategy to provide enriching educational opportunities for learners at various stages of life.
