Current System Status Updates

June/July 2025 Wired Network Interruptions at OISE Building (252 Bloor Street West)
Scheduled

From June 2 to July 31, 2025, OISE community members using the wired network at 252 Bloor Street West may experience temporary interruptions and connectivity issues. These disruptions are due to ongoing upgrades by the central University of Toronto IT team, aimed at improving the stability, reliability, and performance of our wired network. The OISE and University of Toronto wireless networks will remain unaffected during this period.

To minimize disruption, Education Commons encourages all OISE community members visiting the OISE building to switch to the wireless network if they encounter any wired network issues/dropped connections. Additionally, onsite display screens (DTEN and departmental OptiSigns) will be temporarily configured to operate over the wireless network.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as the University of Toronto works to enhance our building network infrastructure for the benefit of the entire OISE community.

Departmental Notice: Updates to virtual display screens (OptiSigns) may be slower than usual while these changes are in effect.

LISTSERV Scheduled Outage
Resolved

The LISTSERV application will be unavailable to all OISE and University of Toronto community members from:

  • Start time: June 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm
  • End time: June 12, 2025, at 5:00 pm

During this outage, users will not be able to send/receive LISTSERV emails or access the administrative interface of LISTSERV.

OISE community members are encouraged to send any LISTSERV emails before June 11 or after June 12 to avoid disruptions.

Global Zoom Outage
Resolved

According to Zoom, the global issue affecting all Zoom accounts is beginning to recover. Services should resume normal operations shortly.

    A global Zoom outage is impacting all users and licenses, including OISE and the University of Toronto community. We will provide updates as further information becomes available.

    We strongly recommend that the OISE Community utilize MS Teams for virtual communications and meetings during this time.
