This presentation explores the relationship between ethics and AI in higher education governance and administration from three distinct perspectives, following the researcher’s most recent agenda. Firstly, it elaborates on the results of a policy analysis study examining how universities in »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿, USA, and the UK govern moral authority in the student usage of AI. Secondly, it demonstrates findings from an interdisciplinary literature review that showcases how knowledge from business AI ethics can be translated to inform an expanded conceptual model for organizational AI ethics in higher education. Finally, it scrutinizes important takeaways from a phenomenological interview-based study on how administrators with different levels of authority make decisions about AI chatbots as frontline service providers.
